One thing I’ve constantly struggled with is where to keep my writing and how to organize it.
Having gone through several iterations, I’ve arrived on something for 2023 that I am fairly excited about.
This site/newsletter will be the “flagship” of sorts, and will continue to be home to political commentary and a few other topics of interest. So if you like what you are reading here, don’t worry - we’ll keep that going!
But I am also spinning up not one, not two, but three other Substacks. That may seem like a lot, but they will publish a variety of content that I have already written somewhere, or specific topics that deserve their own dedicated channel, which opens up some more options long-term.
Let’s give them each a brief intro!
HOP (The Human Optimization Project)
I had started HOP hosted in Notion, but to consolidate platforms I’ve decided to move HOP over to Substack. We’ll primarily focus on productivity, fitness, and education at HOP. Among some other content, my entire Productivity In Notion series is there already, so check it out!
The Book of Principles
Long-time readers know I started the genesis of this back in 2019 with my “One Daily Thought” series where I shared one idea or concept a day generally in 300 words or less.
The Book of Principles will be a remastering of that work, better organized so that related ideas are tied together. The content will be closer to weekly rather than daily, but I have a large head start here, so this should have a consistent flow of timely and thoughtful posts starting next week:
Bizlandia
Last but not least, I’ve decided to wade into some business-related writing and discussion of topics that I’ve handled while working in the tech industry for the past 12 years.
These posts will be wide-ranging: I have some initial posts planned on GPT3 and Data Science, but also plan to branch into some discussions of software development, product management, and more.
One perk of spinning this out is that I will be able to advertise these posts on LinkedIn without directly throwing people into my sometimes inflammatory political commentary.
I will plan to cross-post some of the highlights from each of these locations here at A Moment with Mumma. My intent for this spot is to have a broad purview of good content, while each of the three spinoff publications will be focused tightly to their core agenda.
With that said, I’d greatly appreciate your support and readership if you would subscribe to any of the three (all?) that interest you. We’ll be kicking off each before the new year with some discussion around GPT3 in Bizlandia, Notion New Year planning in HOP, and the first principle in the Book of Principles.
Despite my sporadic writing, I am quite thankful for your continued readership! Wishing you all a great conclusion to 2022 and start to 2023!
