Happy Friday, y’all!
I wanted to share a few things from my other little corners of the internet, that I hope you’ll find of interest:
Postmodernism
What it is and the dangers it brings.
Understanding postmodernism is critical to making sense of where the American political left has gone. I wanted to cover this in my Book of Principles series, but is quite relevant to a lot of what I’ve written about here. Take a look:
And the follow-up: what happens when postmodernism treats the truth as a malleable object:
The Future of AI
Where AI is heading, at least from my viewport.
This is more business-focused, but understanding AI and where it’s heading is critical for everyone to gain an appreciation for. Here’s my take, but I’d love to hear your thoughts!
And for more background, I also shared a bit about how I’ve used AI to expedite software development:
Education: A Failing State and What We Can Do
Using AI to empower parents to take education back from the government.
As I’ve said before in many forums, perhaps unwisely, is that “sending your kids to public schools nowadays is basically [state-sanctioned] child abuse.”
Is that hyperbolic? Sure… a bit. But it doesn’t change the fact that our education system is irredeemably broken.
I’ll have more to say on this in coming weeks over at the Human Optimization Project:
But for now, what you can do about it if you are a parent is check out my project, Intellect Inbox!
Intellect Inbox uses AI to generate quick lesson plans for parents around any subject, with an eye toward how parents can create activities quickly to engage their kids.
Along with all the normal subjects, we cover a whole host of topics not covered in schools: finance, critical thinking, public speaking, American Civics, statistics, gardening, and much more!
I’ve started to share some sample lessons, so check them out:
Again, we’ll be diving deeper into education over at HOP, so check that out!
Back on Twitter
Also, find me on Twitter! I’ll mainly be focused on the tech, AI, education, and entrepreneurship beats over there, but would love to have you join along: https://twitter.com/MummaLabs.
Have a great weekend!
